Annette, along with her husband Ed own and operate the family business. Annette can be found in the greenhouses working alongside the staff at any given time, and then transitions to the office to take care of the paperwork and ordering side of things. Annette enjoys creating planting mixes and staying ahead of the trends with flowers and gardening. Annette’s knowledge and experience in the greenhouse business has been years in the making and is an asset to daily operations at Family Flowers. She is no stranger to successful family run business, as she grew up working in her family’s butcher shop in Southwestern Ontario.

Ed’s love of flowers and plants began while growing them as a side hobby in the tomato greenhouses he owned across the road with his father and brothers. Ed takes great pride in the business he and his wife, Annette started from the ground up – literally! Ed can be found organizing crops including planting, watering and growing. Ed’s attention to detail and learned knowledge of crop production is part of what makes Family Flowers quality consistent year after year. Ed also enjoys the social aspect of working alongside great staff and conversation with regular customers who come to visit.

Daughter of Ed + Annette, Jacklyn began in the business of selling flowers at a young age, off of an old wooden picnic table alongside the highway, with a little metal money box and a folder to handwrite each sale. “25 years later, I still have a few customers who come in and remember buying flowers from me off the picnic table. Now my children work alongside me, and hopefully will be able to tell the same story!” Jacklyn enjoys the special event planning and marketing for each month, and inspiring customers with colourful and lively solutions for every season.

Son of Ed and Annette, Mark oversees the planting, growing and shipping of the Wholesale division, as well as general maintenance of the greenhouse operation and machinery. Mark can be seen as the definition of ‘jack of all trades’ – you can throw anything his way and he will fix it and make it work. Mark has automated all of the windows, heat and temperature controls within the greenhouses to make for smoother everyday operations for everyone, and better quality control with the crops.
