Individuals in these roles are responsible for completing a number of tasks, which may vary according to operational demands. These roles are physically demanding and require frequent lifting, carrying, and standing. Production workers typically transition to customer service roles as seasonal demands change.


  • Transplanting quickly and accurately
  • Taking and planting cuttings from multiple varieties
  • Potting quickly, with attention to proper technique
  • Operating soil filling machine, filling trays and pots for planting
  • Accurately labeling and organizing completed trays
  • Moving plants from one greenhouse to another using carts
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Some knowledge of plants or an interest in gardening is an asset
  • Must be willing and able to quickly learn plant varieties and various planting techniques
  • Attention to detail and punctuality is essential
  • Ability to work well independently and with others
  • Ability to maintain focus while completing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to receive and understand instruction
  • Willingness to ask questions and clarify instructions as needed
  • Ability to meet hourly benchmarks and daily deadlines


  • Physically demanding: position requires standing for long periods of time, as well as lifting, carrying, and pushing carts
  • Temperature ranges from hot to cold depending on weather and work location
  • Public transit is not available to this location, reliable means of transportation is necessary
  • Saturday and holiday work required
  • Expect to work 6 days a week during peak seasons
